I hope there's no rule about cross-posting between forums here. If so, mods, please let me know (of course).

I just noticed this thread in the Attachment Disorders forum which I thought people with PD's might find interesting:

Very good article. It helps me as a mother. I am constantly trying to instill healthy self-esteem in my boys.
Thanks for this!

Yes, that seems to me to be the challenge, how to encourage healthy self-esteem. And for me right now (still, constantly) how to develop it ( out of nothing) in myself. I'm going to try and see if some of the ideas in the article may help.

Maybe OT, I know i had struggled with shame because I became attached to someone. The emotion was very strong and it pushed me into a few dissociative episodes. Still am finding being attached difficult. Unfortunately the person I became attached to reinforces this.
But therapy helped.

You guys are everywhere. I have been out of my forums before and have only gotten in trouble. Considering coming back around in another neck of the woods. Tread lightly (note to self). LOL

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
