Hi Fuzzy,
In our local news tonight: 20yo father beats 6mo old baby with belt 20-30 times. Police said Father admitted to having an anger management problem. I'm sorry thaat Anger is on the bottom of the list - it SHOULD be on the top! I am happy that you recognize you have the problem and have enough restraint to not act on your impulses. Have you talked to a T about your feelings? (((((((Fuzz))))))) __________________ "It is what it is." |

Anger is not on the bottom of the list here. It has been discussed, and decided that anger is involved in many of the topics in multiple forums. Anger is expressed in many different ways. There are healthy, constructive ways to deal with anger, and there are also unhealthy and hurtful ways. There was some concern that a specific forum for anger might encourage more venting and unhealthy expression of anger. It has been shown that venting really doesn't help anybody. It makes you feel worse, and also makes those who listen to it feel worse. We were afraid that an anger forum would turn into a venting forum, and that the admin team doesn't own enough flame-retardant gear to manage it. But we can talk about anger wherever it comes up, as long as we keep it constructive. If you want to get support for specific anger issues, just think about where it fits best among the forums here. Self-help and self-esteem could be good places to start, or it could relate to any of the disorders, etc. A lot of times it is expressed in the creative corner too. I'm sure you can find a good place here to get help with your anger.
