I’ve was diagnosed BPD around 10 years ago but it was around long before that. I definitely felt reflected my inner experience. Im now concerned that I have a new PD..can that be the case that as you get older/have different experiences, a personality disorder can develop? I believe I fit the criteria for schizoid PD - not had it confirmed but I feel my symptoms are more recognised with that. Not so much BPD anymore

Anyone else “outgrown” one PD and developed a new one?

Dear Dahlia1,

I wish I had the knowledge and experience to help you but sadly I am at a loss. Do you think a consultation with a psychiatrist or psychologist would be useful? Maybe others here have had similar experiences. If so, I hope they see your post and respond to it kindly and helpfully.

Sincerely yours, Yao Wen
