This is a sort of off topic request for help...... is anyone here from California? or anyone know California? ..................
I think I found my T. and I'm thinking of going to see him in California, and its Walnut Creek........... does anyone know where that is? And which airport its neares to?
And does anyone happen to live near it and have a spare room that they wouldnt mind letting for about a week, no, joking really, but just incase, by a miracle, y'never know unless you ask! clueless tourist alert

Any help and advice all welcome.
The story behind me travelling that far for a T. is a long one and I talked about it previously here ages ago.
I usually fall out with Ts as quickly as I fall in with them, but I'm thinking positive this time.
clueless tourist alert

thanks, river

Does the T in question know they've been found? You probably should email or something, get something going and know you'd be "welcome" and that they can see you and all that. It doesn't sound like a good idea to wander halfway across the world (5 hours from New York and another 6 to California) just hoping. It's an extremely expensive part of California, no jobs, etc.

Well, that was funny Perna, it made me laugh and it lets me know easily I can miscommunicate, specially when I attempting to use humour put myself down .

Actually, yes, he does have an idea he has been found, I dont think he quite believed me that I would come over to see him.
I am such an odd person relatively, and i'm slowly learning the extent to which I see and do things differently to others, - 'wrong planet . com' , that kind of fits me.
There is a logic to this but from the outside it looks gloriously unlogical and complicated.
I have done so, so many types of therapy, not a one made a jot of difference, but these people get through to me immediately, so I know theres something there for me, even though it has been unsustainable previously, couldnt stay with it. They are specialist disorders Ts.

Anyway, we've had a few phone sessions, thats how he knows he's been found. It remains to be confirmed that we commit and I go over.

Well, of all the States, California is perhaps the more forward thinking/socialistic of them, has all the free thinkers, etc. I'd look for a hostel in San Francisco:

http://www.hostels.com/en/us.ca.sf.html

and then figure out how to get a ride to/from Walnut Creek; it's on a main highway and only a half hour distance.

I know people who have used www.craigslist.com to find places to stay, etc.

Can the T help with suggestions as to where to look for lodging?

I can imagine wanting to come to see him face to face after talking to him a few times and liking him. I admire your determination.
