They can be "difficult" - to themselves too but also "fragile".

Please be kind.

I think "fragility" is the keyword to Borderline.. And yes, kindness... Something there can never be enough of.

Good point Fuzzy....I try to treat all of us as pillows with something of glass inside...

Some care should always be taken...

Very true, Fuzzy-love; we're made of glass with which we cut ourselves.

We all have crosses to bare...Many are so unjust they border on mis delivered tragedies.

But is it how we are measured...these burdens and challenges...or what we do with them?

With Care

Hi, I'm new here, but I recently discovered that BPD description fits me almost to a "T".

I discovered it in kinda a strange way. Went to Yahoo Answers and someone asked a relationship related question. It wasn't the answer, but one of the comments that someone made that mentioned BPD, so I decided to check it out. Boy was I floored!

I had been in therapy in the past, and this was never mentioned to me. It would have helped me tremendously if it had been. I never understood my feelings back and forth about a person, one minute anger and the next nearly making them into a saint in my head. It was so weird to me that it had to be one extreme or another. I have always seen most everything as black and white, although as I have grown older I have learned to temper that.

For a long time I had just worked on toughening myself up. It kinda helped, and I think I am better now than I have ever been, but it makes me sad that I had no clue for the past 20 years.

Anyway, that's it for now. Just wanted to say hi and now I shall continue reading.

I would love to hear about how being diagnosed with BPD has affected (or "ruined") your life?
I work with some Borderlines and they are very needy and they always seems to be picking and choosing favorite people....

Hello pinkgrll, maybe you could share a bit more about your experiences. Here, we are mostly interested in working on and "improving" ourselves.
