I think that I have antisocial personality disorder. Do you know anyone with this problem or do you yourself have this disorder. I feel like I'm normal but I don't make good decisions and have very self destructive behavior. I was seeing a therapist but I stopped last month. I try to handel things on my own but it never seems to work out. I just get into more trouble. The saddest part is that I don't think I will ever be normal. To many mistakes in my past.

From the little bit that you wrote here, you don't sound to me like someone with antisocial personality disorder. Generally, people who have that are not concerned that they make good decisions or not. What kind of self destructive behavior? You said that you have just stopped therapy last month. What did your T have to say about it, and why did you stop? I'm not sure that normal actually exists in the real world, but I also have a hard time believing that I could ever be "normal" either. Yeah, I've made mistakes too, but I just feel like I've been stuck with my symptoms for way too long (25-30 years, or since sometime in childhood), and learning to be any other way is hard. It took me so long to find a T who seems to believe in helping me to actually recover rather than just not be in crisis all the time. If your last T didn't help you in the way that you needed it, I encourage you to keep looking until you find one who will. Sometimes it's just a matter of finding the right fit between what you need and their style of working with you. Don't give up hope for the life you want for yourself, no matter what mistakes you have made in the past.
