There were really loud noises outside of my apartment tonight. It was really scary. They sounded like gun shots. I called public safety (I live on campus) and they came and checked it out. They were really nice about it and checked it out and found what they said was probably a drano bomb made by kids in the field. It was so scary. I hate that I am so sensitive to loud noises. They said to call again if I heard more noises or people outside hanging out and they would come back to check it out. It was just so scary. Now I have to be able to sleep. Even though the police said it was okay, my nerves are still jittered.
Thanks for this!

I hate that noises scare me too, I am always edgy at night. If I'm falling asleep and here any noise I panic, I get images in my head of what it could be. I have to sleep with some sort of light on, plus some music, and I need to put something by the bedroom door. If I tell people about it they find it funny and it's embarrassing because I feel like a baby.
