Abuse is not about the stature of the victim, it's about the sick person who does it.

Thank you, I did a bit better at work today and tonight distracting with a soccer game. The shock is ebbing. Sadness still floods and oh yeah anger too and back to depression and then shame and despair. With more time in-between there is a bit more understanding and forgiveness.

I so want to split and have a new life. Yes, I do, please don't say no don't say that...because I want to. I don't like this life. I don't and I don't have to like it. My body is old but mind is stuck at this 25 year old age of maturity or lack of maturity. Know wonder I want to split. That difference in age is way too expansive.

So, I breathe, I watch more World Cup, I go to work and I try to have another day go by to soften the blows of this disorder.

I will get there.

Thank you for coming alongside. Thanks for hugs and encouragement. JD, I never thought about abuse being about the abuser. I am going to think about who I am in the midst of it, then.

Thanks to all.

It's about the abuser in that the victim never asks for it, isn't responsible for it, never does anything to deserve it, has no control over it, has no control over the abuser, etc. It's about the abuser in that they aren't handling their own problems but are accusing and judging another, taking out their anger and pitiful life feelings on another, taking total control of another person, incapable of understanding or caring for the victim etc... just some off the cuff thinking. If you weren't there, they would have treated whomever was there the same way.

Can you become a stronger person for what you went through? Yes. Is it the most difficult way to get there? Yes. Do you have a choice? Yes. (But why not become stronger for it?)

its tough when the stuff comes back - but that at least give you the opportunity to deal wiht it - even thought its so hard- sighs - you are strong you know - you survived - you are here - and you are asking for help and thats huge

I agree wiht (JD) about the abusers -

sending gentle hugs and warm thoughts

and another one till we get back

(((((((((((((((((((((((Hunny)))))))))))))))))))))))

something my old T told me to do as a homework assignment,
and I am going to pass this along....
hopefully then you won't be so hard on yourself Hunny!

Homework: Go to a park that has swings and where children are always playing. Maybe bring your journal so you can write what your feeling that instant...
Watch the children playing and pick a few children that look 4, 5, 6, even up to 10 years old. Now imagine that young child having to fight off adult men or women. Sometimes when you look through the eyes of a child it seems my flashbacks could be put into drawings and poems and words.
Just something we thought maybe you and other could maybe try. It helped me ALOT!

((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((HunnY))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
may you find the peace you so Much deserve!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

((((((((Hunny)))))))) :hug

I know it hurts so badly, and with each thing remembered the shock and pain settle in.

But once it's managable it is a lot of work done and 100 kudos points to you
