I would ask the doctor or therapist who diagnosed you with PTSD why they gave you that dx.

Every day of our life, incident that happen to us can/has/does affect us; as a very young child we don't have many memories only because we don't have words yet, memories being a "story" of sorts but the body memories (startle response, what we've "seen" and how we connected it to something "bad", etc.) happen without words.

Yes it is possible; it's a good idea to have EMDR therapy for this and in a supported protective environment

Isn't which I'm not completely sure however I did it once and it didn't work at all for me but then I'm very different from regular people. I had to tap on my head which triggered me.

Well I do know that having PTSD means you have went through some horrible trauma to get that diagnosis.

Hang in there ((((((alwaysignorded)))) and let those tears out!!! Cry as much as you can...

you are worthy - you are worthy of being loved the right way - of being safe - of being cared for - of getting help

everything you said can cause PTSD i was sexully abused as a child - then had several violent incidents over my life - it took an attack 4 years ago to set off the ptsd that then went back to my past like little time bombs going off

i wihs you peace and happiness - keep posting - we are hapy to hear from you - read the stickies at the top of the page - they are very good

take care

I was told by someone that took care of me, when I was an infant, that I was being physically abused since I was 3 months old. Other things come to me in dreams. I think our minds purposely "forget" some things to protect us, until we are able to deal with them. I also tried EMDR but was too easily triggered by it. I wish you luck and peace.

Always ignored, it is possible. But this is something that "doing it on your own" has extremely low success...none that i ahve seen. My heart goes out to you. There is a book that a friend of mine suggested I read, she is working through it and she said it helps pinpoint where to abuse/neglect started. The Nmae is Homecoming by John Bradshaw. I don't know if you would be interested, but she said it is helping her. I plan got get a copy myself.
I know it hurts, but the crying is a good thing. It helps relieve the pressure inside.
Good luck and the therapy should be focused on the PTSD not one of it's symptoms. ( speaking from 28 yrs of experience).

we are here and thanx for sharing....big safe hug...
