Wow... I can't believe how amazing it was... I over-analysis everything all the time, so not analysing this process and how it works, is the hardest thing for me so far... My T said that it's a natural process and shouldn't be analysed... We started with pre-verbal, actually at my conception... I was actually able to rewrite my past to get what I needed, what didn't receive (so far just love, acceptance, and being wanted and to be given attention to) It was physically and emotionally draining, but I feel like one of my many voids in my foundation has been mostly filled in... My friend noticed a change in me right away yesterday... I hope it continues to be this great!

Constantdreamer,

I am so happy for you! EMDR is a great thing and helped save my life! It really works! You will be tired and drained, and some days will be better than others but it is truely an amazing process. Congratulations on starting this process in your treatment.

Glad your first experience with EMDR was positive. The first time I had EMDR it was so intense I wound up throwing up immediately afterward.

But now I've been doing EMDR off and on for years with the same therapist and find it incredibly helpful. Almost all my PTSD symptoms are gone.

I am lucky to be treated with OEI and it has helped me tremendously. It is different but similar and mostly a little less intense. I still take steps forward and back but so far mostly going forward.
Thanks for this!
