Hello,
I have PTSD and DID and OCD and Depression and etc . . . . I had a bad dad for too many years and a bad uncle. I've been posting in DD forum because I haven't felt safe anywhere else. And I just need help. The others are great, truly wonderful and this has nothing to do with them. I just have more questions that involve PTSD. So, can I joing in? Is this in the right place? Should it be in survivors of abuse? __________________ "It is good to have an end to journey toward, but it is the journey that matters in the end. |

Yes sure song.
BTW though, this is for the effects of PTSD. I don't have many forums I post in for my own problems, this one mainly and depression. My ptsd is from a disabling accident and the "treatment" afterwards. IMHO, If what someone posts is more about the abuse, then it should go into the abuse, if it's more about the DID and symptoms, then the DD forum is best. This forum for PTSD is for posting about the battle of the symptoms of the PTSD, how to battle the triggers, and other stuff not really covered in the other forums. __________________ |

Sky,
Boy, this is complicated. I'm new at this. I sent the others away - too much. I guess trial and error is the key. That doesn't sound safe, though. Maybe I'll go away and just watch. I don't want to make a mistake. __________________ "It is good to have an end to journey toward, but it is the journey that matters in the end. |

Right, as long as you care, it will work out.... none of us is perfect and we all make decisions about things that might not work out so well. Don't post in fear. If you think about your posting, that's the best you can do, right?
Most ppl with DID do suffer from PTSD...the DID being a coping mechanism from the trauma. I'm just replying because you asked. Thank you for asking. Besides, that was just my opinion. __________________ |

Thank you all for making me feel welcome. But, at this time, I'm not safe and think I was moving too fast. I think I need to stay in DID for now, but hope to return when I progress in therapy. I must do this for my own protection. Thank you all so much for the warm welcome. But, I just can't do it.
