I find bottling up anger and hoping it disappears is useless. So when I feel I can do so, without threatening others physicly, I filter past traumas. I do this with my guitar, writing and walking and medication. I LOVE psyche central! ((hugs to all))

Perhaps if it gets to be too much, my therapist advised me to go in my room, shut the door, and SCREAM into my pillow -- then start pounding the pillow as hard as I could. I could keep doing this until i was exhausted. This helped to get rid of some of the anger at the moment. And it really worked!!
You might ask YOUR therapist about this. He/she might not agree with this type of activity, but it sure worked for me. I wish you the very best. Keep us posted on your progress, ok? God bless. Hugs, Lee ![]()

I will punch my pillow, if it offends me. I doubt it will. Psychology has progressed since this therapy was encouraged. Is your therapist aware of these changes?
