I actually came for the eating disorder. I had a very abusive childhood and always felt like I was in a war zone. I had a therapist once tell me I had PTS. I wonder if its related to my eating disorder.

No T right now. Haven't seen one in years. Seems every time I see one theg tell me I am all better. Ha! I talk better with peers than a T. Trust issues. I have most of the issues of someone with PTS.

Usually almost all the mental disorders have more chances to develop if there are any kind of traumas in the childhood. So yes, it can be related to your ED.
In our case, some of our traumas are related to eating (eating too much/being told to eat/not being allowed to eat). The alters who hold those traumas have an ED - mainly Patricia who has ED-NOS.
I don't think all the therapists are like that... I'd keep trying until I'd find a great T.
