I think that can be as important as doing big things, major life altering things. Sometimes, it's good to just stop and smell the roses. For me, it was going out at lunch to the garden center - easy for me, I work across the street from a major shopping Mecca, there is about every store imaginable within a mile of my office.
So, I went to the garden center, wandered around, it's a beautiful, cool, bright sunny day, not a cloud in the sky, so it was nice. I ended up buying 3 cymbidium orchid plants and two variegated pothos to spruce up my office -- it's a mess these days, I throw things around because some days I don't care so much. So, I decided this will spur me on to clean up my act -- I never used to be like that, it looks bad when clients see it, fortunately we mostly see clients in another room. So, little things to lift the spirit. |

I so relate. I am trying to do some 'self-care'. I LOVE flowers and plants. I was not in a good place all summer - messy or WHAT? I don't have a sunny surface to put a plant or flowers. Tiny abode to boot. I am finally making a list, got my hair done,, teeny baby steps and BIG pats on the back for myself. I am good enough just for today. I will NOT live in fear of tomorrow. Today is a wonderful day - EVEN if is just sit on my behind - I am good enough!! :-) It has been a loong time since I could believe this without acting as if. Thank you for your posts. Affirming & Inspiring.
