Why is it so hard to just let go? I mean, it's in the past, nothing can be done about it now, but the demons still haunt me.

((OutLawedSpirit))),
Ok, you have this thread. Write about these so called demons. You have too much going on in your mind right now, it's important that you allow yourself to talk it out and have a presence not only validate it but to also provide you with a slow source of how to begin putting in some problem solving information to help you begin to have some new insight so you can begin finding some resolve. You need to begin realizing that what is taking place is whatever you had in place to manage you personal sense of being able to navigate your life has been shattered and what you need to do is slowly look at whatever is there and slowly rebuild your sense of personal control again. When someone has experienced a trauma, or even several traumas they can get to a point where they simply feel overwhelmed and confused. This doesn't mean you actually have no control or sense of direction like you are feeling however. You need to have a chance to slowly work on this until you begin to develop the skills where you gain more control over the triggers and instead of feeding into them as it sounds like you are, you can learn how to "turn them off" gradually. |
