I do. I feel as though I have this grey cloud of impending darkness/something bad is about to happen. I don't feel secure. I have a hard time trusting ppl and allowing myself to open up to them. I just feel emotionally closed off and numb.

Yes I feel that way a lot.

It's not a good feeling at all.

Do you ever feel scared of life because of a traumatic event?

I've been this way since I was a small child-- always felt the world is not a safe place and bad things can happen at any moment. Do you ever feel scared of life because of a traumatic event?
Been hypervigilent as long as I can remember- Do you ever feel scared of life because of a traumatic event?-- and being numb has been the only way I've coped and made it as far as I have-- I think that "numb" can be protective. Though I've been told it's not supposed to be desirable for long term............

Sorry you are feeling similar-- Do you ever feel scared of life because of a traumatic event? Do you ever feel scared of life because of a traumatic event? Do you ever feel scared of life because of a traumatic event? Do you ever feel scared of life because of a traumatic event?

Yes Couldn't go in a certain store because of the way they treated me. Harassement to make me quit after I got injured and they had to accomodate me. Went on for years before they got me to break. Still can't deal with the paper work that was involved. I can go in a different store of the same chain but that took a few years too.
