I had a full-out flashback today at school. The lying-on-the-ground-screaming-and-thrashing-about kind. Luckily it only lasted half an hour or something - I've had some in the past that lasted over 2 hrs. And it happened in the corridor, not in the classroom. Not sure which I'd prefer, if given the choice - either my classmates see me like that or anyone walking by sees me like that.
Just wanted to share. |

Yeah, I've given my class teacher (I'm in SpecEd) a list of instructions on what to do when I have a flashback and she was able to help me some.
I'm sorry that happened/happens to you too. Thanks for your support. It really means a lot to me. |

I am glad your teacher understands how to help you come back to the now when you experience one. I am glad to know you are still continuing your education, even though you struggle sometimes.
I have continued to run my small business and luckily I only have struggled with emotional flashbacks with customers, and only when they ask about me giving riding lessons and I think about the ponies I had that I did that with that my neighbors dog caused to much damage to where two died and one is perminently crippled. Luckily, when that happened the customers were very kind, but I would prefer I did not experience that challenge. I try to avoid discussions that can present me with that challenge. ((Hugs)) |
