Hi all.
Ive got a weird kinda question for you.
Most nights I have pretty much the same nightmare.I'M always running and looking for a place to hide.Usually I have a small child or babe with me Im always trying to protect and keep quiet so the bad guys dont get us.The bad guys always change....it could be a monster or aliens or even pdocs(lol)....true I kid u not.
Even when Im awake and common theme in nightmares possible link to trauma?out and about I find myself thinking"that would be a good place to hide.".......weird....really weird.I'm beginning to believe that these dreams are linked to the trauma I have been subjected to in the past.
Does anyone else out there have any advice or simular experiences?
I appreciate your input........Thanks

You obviously don't feel totatlly safe, imo. Hiding can mean anything from real hiding from what you perceive as a bad guy, to trying to get away from or out of a situation or something you fear might happen.

Try to think of sweet good things before you fall asleep...and "determine" to change your dreams or understand them... to maybe have a better night's sleep. (((hugs)))

When i was a young kid i had a reacouring dream wnere i was sometimes with other children whos faces i couldnt see, sometimes alone, always ending up in a doorway in a dark wood hallway where to my right was a painted red door, familiar but not. sometimes i walked to the door but never turned the brass nob. Scary feeling, pressing like i couldnt breath or think to much or i would be . . . found? Used to sleep walk as kid, now i scream - sometimes- in my sleep. I know i was abused but dont remember all of it. common theme in nightmares possible link to trauma?
