I've had literal flashbacks but I'm wondering what to call this.

Tonight I was triggered and started crying and all these bad memories and images came flying through my head at once. I wasn't reliving them really just strong memories that were upsetting. It took me a long time to calm down.

Any one experienced this?

That's kind of what I thought to call it. It was really scary As memory after memory flashed in my headed over and over while I cried And gasped for air

That has happened to me a lot when something triggers me.. not sure if it counts as flashback but it feels awful. Hope you're doing better.
