Does anyone have this? Like for example I would be watching something and I would learn something from it to apply to my life... and I would be excited but 2 minutes later I would forget what it was or what made me excited.
This is due to dissociation I believe.. because I keep losing myself over and over again and it is part of ptsd. Last edited by rep97; Feb 10, 2016 at 08:17 PM. |

Yes, that can happen. Try to keep a pad and pen with you so when something you hear or think about "helps" you can write it down right away.

I know many people with schizophrenia and other mental disorders who have this problem too.... my point theres probably lots of people around that have this same problem since its part of just about every mental and physical and with some people normal. suggestion talk with your treatment provider. maybe there is something they can do that will help you to feel better... for example my treatment providers recheck my meds, we review grounding, anti anxiety and breathing tools that help me to reconnect with my self, another example my treatment providers and I have come up with journals, writing things down, developing schedules\routines that can help me to remember things short term and long term.... |
