I dont know if these things I am having are hallucinations or delusions or some thing else, It always happens when I am sleeping, I will hear my name being called or my phone ring or a knock on my window or at the door but no one is there, I cant sleep at night and I have terrible insomnia its been going on forever, I cant go back to sleep in the middle of the night, And I am having night mares more and more and flash backs, Some times I can go to bed and as I am drifting off to sleep I hear all these peoples conversations like I am watching a movie, I dont have this when I am awake only when I am trying to sleep, I am wondering does sny one else have this strange thing happen to them, I dont think its psycos or wouldnt I have it in the day time and around people

Rainne, i often hear people talking when i go to bed. I sleep with a fan on and i start to doze off i hear all sorts of things from the vibrations of the fan. The minute i turn it off the voices stop. Also i have thin walls in my apt. and i hear the cat run upstairs, the couple in their bed talking, moving around, talking on the phone or their playing their music. These are just a couple of things to think about, tc

Hello Rainne: I have not had this experience personally. But since you only experience it at night, I wonder if it might be some type of sleep-related disorder... particularly since you also struggle with insomnia. Perhaps, if it is possible for you to do so, it might be worthwhile to get evaluated at a sleep clinic.

I can totally relate! I think that's part of the reasons I work 3rds, I'm always in a locked building, some jobs even had security. I feel safe in them, although I have had quite a few paranoid episodes when I was sure my coworkers were plotting against me.

I also hear people saying my name, usually upon waking. I also hear a muffled sentence which appears to be a question. I say what, and then realize I'm the only one home. I have experienced this with my husband, I think he asked me a question and ask him to repeat it and he gives me the crazy eye and tells me he didn't say anything.
