I'm feeling so much negative emotion that I want to throw up. It coincides with my taking the birth control pill at night which my doctor advised I take with food which I keep forgetting to me. This week I have felt such negative emotion when it was bedtime. Tonight it makes me want to throw up. Have any other PTSD sufferers experienced this? I know whats triggering it and I am gently avoiding some of the people who are triggering it but there is one person I am in contact with on a daily basis that is a part of my pain. That person I've had the least amount of life experience with so they are only the icing on the cake, the really deep down trigger is my FOO and they are the ones I am currently gently avoiding.

Evenings are the worst for me! I can have a great day and then as soon as I get into bed, BANG! Every and any worry comes to me. To the point where I have to sit up and practice breathing exercises. One of my coping mechanisms is completely filling my time so when it is time to slow down, it all hits me. I haven't worked out a way to combat it yet, but I'm still hoping for it to ease one day. Hoping for comfort for you soon!!

I try a few different grounding techniques (For instance: 5 things I can see, 4 things I can touch, 3 things I can hear, 2 things I can smell, 1 thing I can taste), I also just practice breathing (in for 3 seconds out for 6 seconds) and praying really helps me. I usually do a rotation of all three strategies until I can eventually fall asleep. If you haven't done so yet, type in grounding techniques for anxiety and a heap of different resources come up. Also type in breathing exercises too. I hope this helps a little xx

Sorry!! Completely misinterpreted that. I guess I'm trying to survive at the moment...I think I'm a little bit more than surviving now. Since seeing my pysch, it has helped me to feel more functional. I had a few weeks where I couldn't do anything. But it's been months at just feeling miserable/anxious and just functioning. She gave me a few good things to think about tonight, so Im feeling a bit more hopeful. It's the first time I've walked away from an appointment feeling almost good!
