I'd rather be "there" than here. I'd rather be in the thick of it for a not-so-simple, simple reason.
I'd rather be there because, at least when I was there, I didn't know what 'there' ****ing was. It was just life. It was normal. Here is foreign to me. Here requires me to reflect upon what transpired there. And who the **** wants to do that?

Yeah, maybe.
I should never have left there, though.

It's the way of life to move on. We can't stay "there". We have to take the best of "there" and our own good things and make it our new there.

No-one wants to, but if I may..
Time moves, people move. It is the relentless march of time that means that things can, and do change. The change provides an opportunity for reflection, even if it is difficult. As painful as this can be, it can then be used to further benefit you. Nothing can change the past, and we can't go back. All we can do it look forward to here and now, as that is the only place the opportunity to change lies.

I cant tell you how much i know what you mean! I often want to be right back when things were bad, because i didnt realise they were bad - my coping mechanisms worked back then, now they dont and things feel worse. Im stuck wishing i was back in the past too |
