A question that has gone unanswered for too long!!!!

The story is like this. I got fired from a job once and my drinking increased severely. I called a deputy to the house to ask if any help was available. She ensured me that yes, she would get me some help.

The next day the undersheriff took me to one of the state hospitals in Kansas. I was just about to sign permission to treat papers when some wording caught my eye and I questioned the intake lady. She looked on her computer and said "We have you scheduled for the mental ward". I replied that I was there for alcohol treatment to which she replied "Sign in to the mental ward and if it is alcohol we'll treat that". That statement made me even more leary!!!

I finally refused to sign when she looked at me and said "You held a knife on your parents and your parents are scared of you!!!!" It took me all these years to realize what had happened that day.

My adopted mother tried to swing a deal behind my back to get me put away!!! And it sure seems like a lot of people knew too!!!!

To this day I wonder why she was not charged with a false police report!!! Unless everyone including the district attorney was involved!!!!

Sorry for the long rant!! This is just an example of how life was until I saved enough to get out!!

I've finally figured out that they only adopted me for a tax break. At 52 you'd think I'd be over it but it's worse now. I had blocked it pretty good until a few years ago.

Bad part is the public saw her as this "wonderful christian woman" when in truth she was Dr Jeckyl and Mr Hyde.
