I adore church but there is one part that kills me: confession. My church sees confession as an important and encourages baptized members to take part in it. The problem is that confession reminds me of the trauma that caused the PTSD in the first place (I don't feel like going into it). So I am left wanting to live out the fullness of my faith but I am too triggered to do it. Any ideas? Has this happened to anyone else?

True confession is between you and God. God just wants a personal relationship with you and it sounds like you have one. So enjoy life you are living out the fullness of your faith. __________________ Guiness187055 Moderator Community support team |

Do you need to deplete yourself for a ministry or some sort of religious training? I have known via the media shame in church isn't the end of the world. It can enlighten members especially if words gets out. Do you think we need a wake up call from personal experience of how you can't always keep sin away being Baptist. Hopefully it is your kind of importance and not for someone who has a grudge.
