I've lately been having a lot of flashback dreams and it's been hard to sleep. My nurse came over today and suggested to talk to my pdoc about a pill that can help with that... problem is it's a blood pressure medication and I'm already on one for my heart rate and my blood pressure is already low from taking that. I just recently got home from the psych hospital and I couldn't take my blood pressure med because my blood pressure was already low.

My question is that is there any other medication out there for nightmares that can at least help me sleep at night that is NOT a blood pressure pill. Tell me what you take and how it has helped you. I know different medications work for different people.

I looked into it for myself a few years ago, like there was a research study. But so far the only thing that has helped my nightmares has been therapy, therapy, and more therapy.
Thanks for this!

I tend to have very vivid and realistic dreams. I've been trying to find therapy for a while now. All I see is a pdoc, nurse, and case manager who drives me to appointments. I've been trying to find therapy for a long time and not too sure where to start. I ask my case manager about finding therapy but it has never happened. I now got a new case worker now so maybe I can ask for help from her.
