Have any of you experienced psychotic symptoms because of your PTSD? Were you ever misdiagnosed because of this?
---
I'm diagnosed with schizoaffective but a counselor in a group I go to I've known for years says she thinks my hallucinations and delusions are because of trauma history. It's interesting for sure.

Our pdoc think our psychosis is more trauma related than Schizoaffective but we are still diagnosed with the Schizoaffective... So not really sure...

I get both all the time, but I hve bp 1 and am not sure how much is due to that and how much is due to the trauma stuff.
