I am giving up hope. I get flashbacks and triggers daily, I’ve had so much abuse I can’t trust anymore and I don’t see how things can ever get better.

It can get better recovery for trauma is possible. It’s not easy but it is possible. It took me a few years and some hard work with mindfulness 🧘*♀️ but you can do it.

There are some things that might not heal, but it’s very individual and even if something can’t be ‘cured’, there’s a chance that the symptoms could be alleviated. Please don’t give up - I know it’s difficult, though, and you’re trying your best. Are you seeing a counsellor or anything?

Thank you I am seeing a counsellor but can only afford twice a month at the moment. Hopefully I’ll eventually notice some changes.

I didn't even know I had PTSD until it was too late. I also have schizophrenia. I've found with the right meds, and cutting out toxic people, and toxic situations/environments, that I'm doing okay. I've also found love, and experiencing that, even if it's only fleeting, has opened me up. I'm sorry you're going through this but there is hope. For 8 years I've been struggling, and I've found peace and calmness finally. I'm moving a few more pieces on the chessboard for long term care, sometimes a new home is needed, a new job, low stress, better friends, less baggage. There's always hope.
