Just something I’ve been pondering - can gaps in memory be temporary, as in you might remember something later if it’s brought up by someone else, or are they always permanent? Maybe it depends?
I’ve started to remember a few things I’d sort of forgotten, after discussing things in therapy and with my mum, but some things, like specific times when I had a real sense of safety are harder to identify for me.

I've had this same experience, for me i've remembered stuff in recent months that i blocked out for over 14 years. There are still things about that time I don't remember, the dissociation is strong for me. I hope it gets easier for you to remember things, but be patient. It takes time and healing.
