About 3 weeks before COVID hit, I had finally made it to the top of an intensive trauma recovery program for women. The wait times, and process for getting in are insane, but it's generally considered one of the top programs in Canada, so I was really excited to start. Then March hit, and boom everything closed.
The program has just restarted, albeit virtually, and I had my first session today. It was good, weird, and intense all at once. I'll be in this group - the phase 1 group - for 4-5 weeks to build up some skills, and then I'll graduate to the intensive program which is 4 half days a week, for 8 weeks. I'm really hoping to get a lot out of this program, as I feel that trauma is the last unexplored part of my recovery that I need to work on. |

Congratulations for starting the program! I hope it is really beneficial to you. I am just starting an IOP 3 nights a week and I am hopeful it will be helpful to me. The wait times were nothing like you described but mine is virtual also. 'Tis the world we live in now. Best of luck! I hope it is really helpful for you! Kit
