Ugh. I definitely cannot go back to my brother’s home for Xmas like they are all planning. I have never been able to take a trip alone with my kids anywhere and they are 17 and 13 and I am divorced for the past 13 years.

It is extremely boring there, I feel very uncomfortable around my sister in law, I am neglected and disregarded, there are too many ridiculous rules and regulations, etc.

My kids love it there though. I want to enjoy that time with them there but the rest is horrible for my trauma history and ptsd.

And I do not want to send my kids without me.

I feel trapped there. I cannot even drive right now and no idea when I can again.

I can understand your feelings. Christmas with my family is somewhat the same.
