So if there was a more general stress disorder forum, I'd post there but since I didn't find one, I'm posting here.

The question is, have you had shutdown (parasympathetic nervous system overactivation) for a long time, and then did you try to go back to being active? How was your experience? What helped you? What were things you had to pay special attention to, what was the hardest?

Specifically have you found that it's unbearable physical arousal or emotional arousal trying to become active again, doing things, doing tasks, and so on? Or mentally a very hard load?

If so, what did you do that helped? If you had to go gradually, how did you manage that, what were the gradual, little steps?
