On April 19, there was a water pipe burst outside my apartment. It caused a flood of 2-3" muddy water to flood our apartment. We lost a lot and had to spend 8 days in a hotel while the property management found another apartment for us. We lost most of everything we own from furniture to stuffed animals and everything in between. We are in our new apartment now, trying to get back to some resemblance of normal. But it's been so hard. Just want to forget that it happened.
Is this trauma?? It sure feels like it 😩🥺😭 __________________ It is a miracle that I have survived thus far and I strive to help others see miracles in every day life.

Sure. It's trauma. I'm very, very sorry you had to go through it.
7 years ago I had a situation in which I had to leave almost everything I owned. I got my cats, of course, my pet rat, and my carton of family photographs. Got my computer, a few books (lost most). Oh, grabbed whatever I could within 10 minutes and lost most of my life. Things I had kept for 40 years (jewelry), a beautiful vase my son made for me when he was a little boy. Oh, God. Almost every single day I think of something else I lost. A lifetime. Yes. You are traumatized. __________________ |
