I took the diagnostic test today and PTSD ranked the highest with a whopping 75. I’ve never had any of the typical traumatic stuff happen to me though. I had a loving family and was never involved in any traumatic violent events. Is it my years of depression catching up on my? Is it because my parents spanked me until I was four? Is it my bad teaching job with verbally and physically abusive students? Was it my lonely college years? Could any of these be a cause? Or could it be something I’m not thinking of?

I think any of those could be causes or the sum total of them. It is also possible that unremembered things may have been causal or contributing factors. So sorry that you are suffering from PTSD. It is such a brutal illness.
