There is something that happened a few days ago that left me deciding to shut down for safety, to run awaay and be safe. And then a part of me said why? Stay and fight, don't run, So I am not running, I am here. It bothers me that I was triggered and 2 that the ones responible did it so easily. I despise these feelings I have and just woke from a dream about the ones who gave me this PTSD. I don't usually dream of them and there it was. I couldn't win then but I am an adult now and I am not backing down so they can kiss off. and the current stuff, they can kiss off as well.

Something I am slowly learning is that it okay to be human. I get to try things out, experiment, I even get to make mistakes.

I bet that you are doing just fine. And I get triggered about safety once again.

It might be okay but it leads to being vulnerable for attack. I am trying.

PTSD can be beaten, but one has to realize that the "past trauma" that appears to trigger the emotional upset is not as important as the underlying metabolic disorder that keeps on triggering excess adrenaline.

I just read that you posted the same link to everyone here with recent posts. I personally will check out the link and have already downloaded the test as I am a curious soul. However, I feel like your posting it on everyone else's thread is ---well, like trying to sell religion. Maybe if you just explained that hey there is one theory that says------and then give a link. Just voicing my concern. If it were an easy fix I might guess that I would have found it a long time ago.

awww, you folks have helped me enormously. Thanks for your kind support. I have to constantly check and recheck my level of safety. I feel like I slide back so much. Why at this point in my life do I still have to check my own safety? Because sometimes people are just not trustworthy. But that doesn't mean they have the power to hurt you in the ways you have already been hurt.
