I am taking Lexapro, but it doesn't seem to work very well. I have uncontrollable rages and crying jags. Does anyone here have a better drug idea or experience for this condition?

You might start at this site:

http://www.traumacenter.org/

Its director, Bessel van der Kolk, MD, has studied medications for this, I think. He is a recognized leader in the field.

I take Depakote, Buspar and wellbutrin. I think it's helping some. The depakote is supposed to help with the rage. They've tried adjusting dosages as I'm having problems with side effects.

I was on paxil for 8 years. It seemed to really help. I actually became very productive. However, I recently had to come off of it. I just went off lexapro. Didn't help at all and I 'm struggling again. Now trying Zoloft. Talk to your Pdoc about different medications and what will help you.
