Re: Some may appreciate this and some not....but that's life isn't it.

Omg that didn’t occur to me. I hope not. I certainly don’t intend to do it again. You are smart if you didn’t touch that link.

Re: Couch 248: Curiouser and Curiouser

Yes—Flossie and Freddie, the six year old twins, and Nan and Bert, who were (I think) twelve. And definitely mysteries.

Then the Happy Hollisters were five non-twin kids. My mother pointed out to...

Re: Cops keep walking by my window?

Hey Mountaindewed. My feeling is that if the police suspected you of something, one of the first things they'd do is knock on your door and ask a few questions, to see how you answer the questions,...

Re: Cops keep walking by my window?

If you live in a safe neighborhood or a place most crime is easily hidden by law enforcement or not reported, they might have nothing better to do than "investigate" crimes of the missing rocks at...

My favorite book as a young child was Harriet The Spy-I thought it was so funny.

Re: Longtime Bipolar considering having trusted gp refill my meds

I'd say if your cocktail isn't super complicated and/or needs to be adjusted all the time and your primary is comfortable with it, yeah, good for it. A good doc is a good doc. Bad apples in every...

Re: Issues involving mother and boyfriend

I have confronted her many times, but I think it'll require giving her an ultimatum where I no longer take her calls and not spend time with her the way I do now if she continues to make...

Re: Bipolar Check-in #80

I'm sorry you've been so sick. Vomiting that much is dangerous. I would think it is time to go to the ER or a doctor and get your electrolytes checked at the very least. Take care of yourself.

Re: Struggling to clean the house

Re: Struggling to clean the house

I do better when I start small. Maybe target one area, a corner of a room or a chest of drawers.

The problem is when it feels overwhelming. The solution is to prioritise.

What needs doing...

Re: Struggling to clean the house

Hi Gasplessy,

Not sure if this helps.. if not just toss to the side!

Maybe breaking things down to small tasks? One day it’s: Cleaning drawyers.. then pause, doing something nice and...

Re: Couch 248: Curiouser and Curiouser

Oh, I read through Betsy-Tacy-Tib a few times. I loved them.

I also loved the original Mary Poppins books. Mary P is nothing like the sugary Disney Mary Poppins. (Who I also enjoyed- but...

Re: Changing my responses

It sounds like you and your kids are quite close, and you enjoy them, and they like being with you. That's very important right now. Your ex-wife sounds rather unstable. Your kids need to know...

Re: How do I just snap out of things?

It could be. But not 7 times a day.

Have you tried dietary foods like plain and light? Some rice with steamed veggies? Oatmeal? Toast? Cottage cheese?

Re: Howling cat

Rechu, I think you might have hit on something about kitty howling because she was cold. That helped me remember a cat I had years ago who would scream when he was cold.

Re: Couch 248: Curiouser and Curiouser

I had Disney Grolier books that came in the post each month and my father would pay £14 for them. Also lots of Enid Blyton and an illustrated Grimme’s fairy tales.

Re: Couch 248: Curiouser and Curiouser

There’s a listing for the The Latch Key Club by Eleanor Clymer on Amazon. $65 though. I tried finding it on an online archive, but it hasn’t been added.
