I'm suffering from postpartum depression. I love music generally. But I'm unable to listen to any romantic songs .It makes me cry.Maybe it brings back memories of my first love which I can't completely let go.Does anyone else have trouble with love songs??Does it imply that I don't have enough romantic love in my life ??

I used to have extreme troubles with love songs it was because I thought I was not worthy of love or no one would ever love me.
do you feel as though you love your first love and if you can take them back you would in a heart beat but maybe the feelings are not reciprocated?
if so your better off without
feed and love your soul first

I have a problem with any music that reminds me of lost loves or I should say the important ones. There are many songs that take me back and make me cry.

I hope you feel better soon.

I simply cannot listen to romantic music. It triggers so much sadness. Nor can I watch romantic movies. Actually now I listen 95% of the time to classical.I think in partbecause the love of my life didn't share my love of classical music so classical as no connection with lost love

I generally hate all types of music but love songs top the list.
It's just so depressing for me and just enhances my suicidal ideation.

Sounds like it's hard to let go. Once you let go your eyes will be open to more opportunities to move on and songs won't trigger painful memories anymore.

Sometimes songs get me very sad, but I still want to listen to them. Because they are sad.
