I have been struggling with postpartum depression for 3 yrs now and am in a much better place. I was diagnosed only after an year the baby was born. So I suffered a lot without knowing.
The problem is that I never told my husband that I had ppd because I felt he was not supportive enough. I am still not my usual self yet. Yesterday in an argument he said maybe we should end the marriage, if this continues. I thought I could handle it all by myself.I am so angry at him that I can't open up . Or rather ,I don't want to tell him because I feel like he should have been more supportive! I'm so confused and worried! |

pinkvilla, I was like you. I had post part depression, only I had no idea what it was and I was afraid to tell anyone for fear of being judged or treated differently. Please let your husband know what you are going through or at the very least your doctor. There is help out there. It took me too long to reach out for help. Men are weird you have to tell them what you need hun. You must be honest with him about your feelings and emotions so that he has a chance to step up and be supportive. Also, if possible share with a close friend or family member you don't have to be alone. big supportive hugs.
