I'm in the middle of writing my second book. The new book is on my struggles parenting while mentally ill. The first chapters were on my postpartum psychosis. Reliving those months was so painful. I just wanted to reach out to anyone suffering right now and let you know you will thrive and your baby will flourish. Find a caring therapist and a compassionate psychiatrist. If you have a Warm Line in your community, use it. Please don't ever believe the lie that you are alone or you can't be helped.

Thank you so much for sharing this, sheltiemom2007! You're absolutely right. I hope your book will be able to help people struggling with post-partum depression, even those here on PC. Wish you good luck! Let us know how it goes. Sending many hugs to you

Thank you for the hopeful words. My son is 9 months old and I’ve just come out of hospital with post-partum psychosis. I’m now suffering with depression and I find it so hard to function and look after my baby. Everything is such a massive weight and I’m struggling to cope with the demands of everyday life. I also have a 14 year old son. I suffered with depression after I had him too. It’s good to know there are people going through it too and that help is out there. It just feels very difficult for my right now. Hugs and love and big respect to you for trying to help people understand xxx
