"People with similar scores tend to be coping relatively well with daily life, but sometimes feel overwhelmed by certain moods, feelings, or situation. Your mental health is fairly good and you're on an even keel."

Um, no. I haven't been able to work for two years, I isolate myself and I often wish I were dead.

I answered "no" to recent bereavement because it's been four years since my father died, and "no" to recent job loss because it's been two years. Both issues are still affecting me profoundly so maybe I should have answered "yes." I know the quiz isn't a truly accurate barometer, but man...it just makes me feel invalidated.

Hey there.

Scars from losing someone close to you can feel like open wounds. So, don't feel invalidated. That quiz is not accurate, so don't let it bother you so much, you know how you're feeling, what you're thinking, and how you feel you are coping, no quiz, especially one online, can determine that. You know yourself, you know your mind, and your own feelings.

I'm sorry this has stressed you out so much. Hugs to you.
Thanks for this!

I agree, I feel that way sometimes about the score I get on this - I try and ignore the comment at the top about whether I'm "coping or not", and just concentrate on whether the numbers go up or down - if it's gone up, clearly feeling worse, if it's gone down, clearly feeling a bit better (and that goes for the sub-sections bit as well)

I think thats a better way to look at it - hope that's helpful!

the test is inadequate it doesnt ask enough questions... take the results with a grain of salt (or well lots of salt sometimes). I honestly dont know why docjohn keeps this test on his site..
