I was wondering how people interpret the following question on the sanity score:

"I often have disturbing dreams or recollections about something that happened in my life."

I'm not sure whether it's meaning the disturbing dreams are about something in my life, or about some thing else with just the recollections being about my life. I often have disturbing dreams, but not about my life, and I'm confused.

Other opinions would be great.

I think it's an and/or type of question. Do you have disturbing dreams about your life, and/or disturbing recollections about your life.

Something I have found as well regarding disturbing dreams; sometimes they do not seem to relate to our current life or our past, but often times they can be triggered from our subconscious and can hold themes that we are not aware of that DO relate to our past or present issues. It is our minds/subconscious way of dealing with things when we are not quite ready to know.

A suggestion...if you don't already...begin a dream journal. Put them down on paper so you can come back and look at them later. Sometimes it's difficult to understand them when they're fresh and you need a week or so to sit with them.

Much luck for you!!

I agree with Elysium. You can write down what happens with you and then reference it with what really happened around that 'something' you're living with. I do it every day, just to remember a lot of things I don't remember later and to try to understand things I don't pay attention at the time they happen.
