Eating Disorders 26. Mine was dumb. 35
Gambling Issues 26. Mine was dumb. 25

Borderline Traits 26. Mine was dumb. 21

Then it says my BMI is a 23 which is "normal" and I still get this..

Eating Disorders: People with scores similar to yours often have a trait or two associated with an eating disorder, such as anorexia or bulimia. Eating disorders occur due to poor self-image and self-esteem, often as a result of childhood experiences. People with scores similar to yours often go through life with a somewhat unhealthy attitude and approach to eating, but aren't bothered by it enough to seek professional assistance for it. If it is causing you concern, however, you should consider talking to a therapist who specializes in eating disorders.

Apparently I have a possible eating disorder for checking " sometimes" to feeling bad about what I ate or sometimes eating too much? Most people can polish off a pint of Ben And Jerry's icecream in one day or one sitting and that's 1200 calories. How is that not disgusting? Sure it's fun to eat every now and then but I'm not going to say it makes me feel great. Obviously if m BMI is normal and I'm not making myself throw it up or doing it everyday then it can't be too much of a problem.

Gambling Issues: People with scores similar to yours sometimes have a mild gambling problem.

Same with the gambling one. Anyone who gambles and doesn't admit to having a few bad beats is lieing. I hit the casino like every 2 months..I admit I can't drive by it without going in..once I had my dog with me and I still couldn't resist it so I snuck him in. But even during that one and only time... I spent $20 bucks and left.

that must be frustrating to get results that you feel are inaccurate. Its just an indicator of things to look out for.

Not a diagnosis, keep posting, it helps.

Fyi eating disorders can occur without the bmi changing.
Thanks for this!

Haha, well I've never done drugs or alcohol and I marked "Not At All" on all of the questions concerning them, but I still got Drug/Alc. abuse on my minor concerns list. -_-

The evaluation algorithm for eating disorders apparently doesn't discriminate between typical American weight problems due to poor food choices, lack of exercise and poor portion control, and the acute problems that DSM labels "eating disorder". Ditto, chemical dependency issues. (Where's smoking, anyway? That's a pretty common chemical dependency, no?)
