Things often get worse before they get better in treatment because you are forced to face and express negative emotions or sharing traumatic experiences out loud. Starting a new medication requires a period of adjustment, and some medications take up to a month to improve the way you feel. Just stick with it, don't give up hope. If you are willing to keep working at it (and sometimes it is really hard work), it is guaranteed that your overall sense of well-being will improve, as you start to understand your self and make connections you might not have made before.

Best of luck!
