I'm really glad that "The Sanity Score is based upon a scientific algorithm" rather than some other kind (a superstitious algorithm) because that means my failure to understand it is my fault.
I've scored 57 which is apparently normal, and given that everyone who posts their score in the title of a thread has three figures (it's not like they're starting a competition or anything, are they?) I should feel better. I've scored 0 for schizophrenia and disassociation, and that doesn't surprise me, because I know I'm not schizophrenic. (I am surprised that the diagnosis of schizophrenia still exists.) I've also scored 0 for smoking and drugs, which doesn't surprise me as I don't use either. But my scores on sexual and relationship issues are more interesting. I'm not in a relationship, therefore my score is 0. I don't believe one needs to be in a relationship to be happy - but not being in one can still be an issue. This is just a rant. |

Remember that even though the algorithms may be based on a scientific formula, everything you put is "self-reported" so it can only interpret what you answer.
Also, I do not think that people are competing to have a bigger score when they post the results, usually people seem shocked by the results and just putting the number up is their initial thought. Its just a tool, like an online calculator, if you disagree with the answer, alright. It means nothing if you don't want it to mean anything.
