I scored an overall 66. I sure feel worse than my score would indicate. Any others in this ball park? I'm a little confused on the individual line item scores, as I feel more depressed than my score would indicate.

You may feel you are more depressed that the test says, but the test is designed more to indicate what areas are interfering with your day-to-day life. At 66 I wouldn't think you would have many problems coping. The test is just an informative tool and nothing more. If you are concerned about depression you should talk to your health care provider, someone who can accurately diagnose you.

That is not a bad score. Some are up in the 150's. You can discuss the results with your pdoc or theapist if you have them/one. Some of mine were confusing and I did not realize I had those issues. It was actually helpful because I was able to put a finger on what was going on. But remember, it is NOT a diagnositc tool, only a guidence as to what is occuring in your life.

Thank you for the responses.
I guess with the stress, hurt, etc I am feeling right now, I seem to have the underlying foundation to deal with it. I just wish my heart knew what my head knows! :-( |
