I just took it for the first time and my score is 165. Is this really high? I've never been to a therapist...should I try? I need advice! I'm not really sure what to do or think. Thanks!

You indeed should go to a therapist, not just because of your score, but for it will be a good experience and you will have someone or someone else to share your thoughts with.

It's up to you! I'm not a big fan of counseling, since for me it's only about the meds working properly, and not about therapy. If you're going to go, I'd recommend DBT counseling not CBT! Best of luck and welcome to P Central!!

Hello and welcome to Psych Central! Your score is running high, but the main thing is what the subscores are. Which ones of those stand out?

Depending on what you are dealing with, different kinds of counseling will be more useful. I am a strong believer in therapy myself.
