Hi there, here's my sanity score: 179
General Coping 64 Life Events 25 Depression 53 Anxiety 66 Phobias 67 Self-Esteem 75 Eating Disorders 65 Schizophrenia 75 Dissociation 75 Mania 85 Sexual Issues 63 Relationship Issues 75 Alcohol 0 Drugs 33 Physical Issues 33 Smoking Issues 0 Gambling Issues 0 Technology Issues 81 Obsessions/Compulsions 100 Posttraumatic Stress 92 Borderline Traits 96 They say: You have 15 serious concern(s) that we've identified. Generally such concerns should be checked out with a mental health professional as soon as you can. You can find a mental health professional within your local community through your insurance provider or through an online therapist directory. Get help immediately if these concerns are overwhelming or you feel your health or safety is at risk. You have 3 milder concern(s) that we've identified. Such concerns may be a part of an ordinary person's usual up's and down's in life. However, if any of these issues cause you worry or concern, please consult with your physician or a mental health professional for further information. My problem is that I live in Auckland, NZ (I know how far away is it) and the medical help here is limited. To say the least. I've seen two psychiatrists so far and both of them went like "sonny, maybe you've got some mood swings, take it easy". I am not taking it easy; currently I'm on Prozac (3 tablets a day) and Seroquel (1 at night). Prozac to help me go through the day and Seroquel to help me go to bed. I must say Prozac did some tricks so far, in the sense that sexual compulsions diminished somehow, but Seroquel cannot make me sleapy any longer, so I wake up at 3 am after a louzy sleep. By the way, is there anyone living in NZ? Maybe I'm lucky, who knows? I know that largely you're Americans, so I cannot see a doctor in the US, I guess (this was a joke - yeah, right!). Regards, |

I am a laymen, but was under the impression our body changes serotonin into melotonin at night, so we can sleep. Could you be overdoing the AD, to the point, you still have too much unchanged serotonin to sleep? In the mornings we need coffee, a stimulant while our body converts melotonin back to serotonin, so we can go again.
Serotonin increases our desire for activity, as well as giving us a feeling of well being. An SRRI antidepressant lowers testosterone blood levels and lessens libido. hugs david |
