Good work. I got a 10. I got two points on you. If there's nothing going wrong in your life, then you aren't trying hard enough.

No, most of the questions are geared to mid-life adults so teens are generally going to have lower scores, not having mates and health problems; the corrosive effect of many years of drinking, drugs, etc. Much harder to have people dying or divorcing you, being laid off from jobs, etc. like many of the questions ask. Age makes a difference; most of my issues are with health (I'm 57) and life experiences (in that number of years I've had a few).

It's not a test that you can compare with others. It is to show you what you personally might want to work on in your life, where you might have issues. There are 288 possible points, I believe and the higher the score, the more there is to work on.

However, it's just an indicator, not really a "test". Think of the questions; I think Luke, who started the thread is 17, so probably not divorced yet or having too many relationship problems like that? :-) But you, at 44, have had the gamut of what life can throw at you, etc. have had jobs and relationships and other life stressors, etc. so it's probably a more realistic/helpful test for you to take, will be able to tell you more than Luke.

Look at where you scored high, that's probably where you want to start working if you see a therapist or, if it's medical problems, what you want to discuss with your doctor, etc. I score higher on medical problems and "life events" but I've had 20+ years therapy :-)

Thanks Perna!!!!!

my results definitely showed a bunch of stuff we need to work on, particularly in therapy and w/ meds. current T not been very helpful so we are trying a new T out tomorrow..hopefully she has more time/ skills she can teach us to 'cope'. obviously not able to deal well w/ life in general these days and if a boomerang gets throwed at us look out.

well, if this test is really scientific, then it should have taken account of age, since it's well recognized that different age groups have different norms in various psychology measures. also, as i read, a person is actually in his/her valley of happiness in late teens. the happiness index goes up as one ages, and then down again after retirement. not sure if this relates to sanity, just to demonstrate that young people don't always have it best.

i scored 45 which means good mental health, although i feel really down for now, which i think is rooted in my computer issues... i put too much time gaming, which harmed my school performance and social relationships (both were good before the my obsession manifested itself). i'm wondering why my score for 'technology' is only 50... and the comment says 'people usually do not have much concern at this level'... but instead, i have very much concern...

the result also says that i may have bipolar, dissociative identity, esteem and posttraumatic stress issues. esteem i think so too, since i'm always a little hard on myself. others i don't know where they come from, esp ptsd, i haven't been nearly killed in a car accident, really. lol
