I thought I'll get a low score but I ended up getting high ones, and I'm just 20 years old >.<
I'm shaking. I got a 162. I know for a fact that this isn't a diagnoses per se, but just an indication of several issues I may be having in life. But wow. ;[ General Coping 82 Life Events 31 Depression 78 Anxiety 70 Phobias 58 Self-Esteem 83 Eating Disorders 50 Schizophrenia 45 Dissociation 50 Mania 75 Sexual Issues 38 Relationship Issues 31 Alcohol 8 Drugs 8 Physical Issues 83 Smoking Issues 0 Gambling Issues 0 Technology Issues 63 Obsessions /Compulsions 81 Posttraumatic Stress 50 Borderline Traits 75 I haven't been back on therapy nor meds for about 4 months now... I think I should start looking for a therapist/psychiatrist now. ;[ Clandestine |

eh... judge by your life and the events in it... i keep taking this thing, but i don't know what to do with the info. I mean, it highlights the areas that i already know of. I mainly used it (in addition to curiosity) for the BMI score =)
are you already working with someone on some issues? __________________ Credits: ChildlikeEmpress and Pseudonym for this lovely image. alt="Universal Life Church | ULC" border="0"> |

That's why I was worried... I'm not seeing someone about this at the moment. My parents know I had "clinical depression" but they aren't aware of my other diagnosis. They halted my medications and persuaded me not to see my psychiatrist anymore.
But lately, I have been shaking and having trouble doing things I'm interested at, which is causing me delay in my school activities. ;[ Clandestine |

my parents also dissuaded me from seeking professional help when I was younger and still living with them. My mother thought it was embarrassing. I've had to hide it from them for ten years and it makes things really hard, and our relationship extremely strained.

Many parents are afraid to have their children go for therapy or counseling. In addition to fearing social judgment, another reason can be that they feel insecure about themselves and fear that all of the children's problems will turn out to be their fault. Another is that they want the children to have the parents' values and goals. When a friend or therapist encourages the person to speak up with their own needs and thoughts, the parent can sometimes perceive that as the therapist "putting ideas in their head." The same thing can happen between a person and their spouse, siblings, or friends. Ultimately you need to stand up for what you need and want, and they will have to adjust, regardless of their resistance to it. One thing I have liked about therapy/counseling is that a good therapist has the opposite influence - to help people see that they are not so bad as they feared. I would suggest that you look at your own feelings and needs - do you think it would help to have someone to talk to? or to discuss the scores with to give you additional insight?
